Singing is fundamental in the musical development of all students. From Kindergarten through to Year 12 singing takes an important place in the Music Programmes at Macarthur. Students have many opportunities to explore their vocal potential through peripatetic music lessons, School Choirs, and in lead and chorus parts in annual School Musicals.
The Bellbirds
Students in Kindergarten to Year 4 have the opportunity to experience the joy of singing as an ensemble right from the early stages of their schooling. Girls and boys have the opportunity to sing repertoire which is suitable to their age and are extended in many exciting ways in their singing abilities throughout the School year.
Combined Choir
Students in Years 5 to Year 12 have the wonderful opportunity to sing exciting and musically rewarding repertoire in multi-part harmony. Students sing a broad and diverse range of repertoire from Broadway to the Classics. The Choir regularly performs at Eisteddfods and Community events as well as at special occasions in the School calendar.
Girls Ensemble and Boys Ensemble
Girls and boys in Years 5 to Year 12 have the opportunity to sing separately, exploring repertoire that is suited to their vocal range, be it Baritone or Soprano.
