Boys

Black sports shorts with school name, green sport shirt with school motif, white sport socks with school stripe, bottle green school fleecy tracksuit and bottle green legionnaire cap. Small backpack, art smock and library bag also required.
Shoes: Joggers.

Girls

Black sports shorts with school name, green sport shirt with school motif, white sport socks with school stripe, bottle green school fleecy tracksuit and bottle green dome-shaped hat. Small backpack and library bag also required.
Shoes: Joggers.

Summer Uniform

Summer Uniform Kindergarten to Year 4

Boys Years K-4

Khaki shorts and shirt (with emblem), grey socks with school stripes, legionnaires cap. K-2 elastic waisted shorts, Year 3-4 side tabbed khaki shorts.

Boys Years 5-9

Khaki shorts and shirt (with emblem), khaki socks with school stripes. 

Boys Years 10-12

Mid grey trousers, black belt, short mid grey socks, white short-sleeved shirt and Macarthur tartan tie. Senior braid and pocket added to the school blazer.

Girls Years K-4

Macarthur tartan dress with lemon collar and cuffs that should be below the knee, short lemon socks, bottle green dome-shaped hat. Black boy-leg briefs are to be worn over underwear with the dress and are available at the Uniform Shop.

Girls Year 5-9

Macarthur tartan dress that should be below the knee, short white socks with stripe.

Girls Years 10-12

Summer Uniform Middle and Seniors

Macarthur tartan skirt that should be below the knee, white short-sleeved blouse with green trim, short white socks with stripe.

In General

  • The blazer may be worn on cooler days, however, the jumper must NOT be worn without the blazer when travelling to and from school.
  • Students may wear the complete Summer or the complete Winter uniform two weeks before Mother’s Day and after Father’s Day.

Boys Years K-4

Mid grey trousers, black belt, short grey socks, lemon long-sleeved shirt, Macarthur tartan tie, bottle green v-neck jumper with gold stripes and blazer.

Boys Years 5-9

Mid grey trousers, black belt, short mid grey socks, white long-sleeved shirt, Macarthur tartan tie, bottle green v-necked jumper and blazer.

Boys Years 10-12

Mid grey trousers, black belt, short mid grey socks, white long-sleeved shirt, Macarthur tartan tie, bottle green v-necked jumper and blazer.

Senior braid and pocket added to the School blazer.

Girls Years K-4

Macarthur tartan pinafore which should be below the knee, lemon long-sleeved blouse, bottle green opaque tights or bottle green knee-length socks, bottle green v-neck jumper and blazer.

Girls Years 5-9

Macarthur tartan pinafore dress that should be below the knee, white long-sleeved blouse with frilled collar, bottle green v-necked jumper, black micro-fibre 70 Denier tights, blazer.

Girls Years 10-12

Macarthur tartan kilt that should be below the knee, white long-sleeved blouse with pin-tucks and black tie, bottle green v-necked jumper, black micro-fibre 70 Denier tights, blazer.

In General

The blazer is to be worn to and from school during Autumn and Winter Terms. The jumper must NOT be work without the blazer when travelling to and from school.

Shoes

In Years K-4 black leather regulation lace-up shoes e.g. Clarks or similar. No coloured stitching or other decoration such as buckles. In Years 5-12 black leather regulation lace-up shoes e.g. Clarks or similar. Doc Marten shoes (not boots) are acceptable but they must be plain with no coloured stitching or other decoration such as buckles. Flat-soled shoes with a heel are not permitted.

School Bags

All requirements for the day should be carried in the school backpack. This should be graffiti free and well maintained. An additional school sports bag may be used if necessary. Students will be asked to remove any graffiti seen on bags.

Excursion Bag and Library Bag

These are a required part of the uniform in Years T-4.

Hair and Grooming

Extreme hairstyles such as excessive undercuts, messiness and conspicuous use of colour, gel or other hair product are not compatible with the school uniform. As a general rule, students hair colour should be as close as possible to their natural colour and is to be a single colour. Boys’ hair must be neat and tidy - short enough to allow it to clear the collar and face and not touch the ears (No. 3 clipper guard produces the minimum acceptable hair length.) Girls’ hair must be neat and tidy - clear of the face, and if long enough, be tied back with a black, yellow, bottle green or Macarthur tartan hair ribbon. Hair clips etc should be of the same colour. No other colour is acceptable.

  • Boys in Years 7-12 are to be clean-shaven at all times.

Students are reminded that clothes worn under their uniform need to be plain white and must not protrude beyond the boundaries of their shirt.

Make-up or nail polish

Not permitted.

Jewellery

No jewellery other than watches, medic-alerts and approved badges relating to Macarthur Anglican School is permitted (including earrings of any description). This also includes all types of ‘religious’ jewellery including crosses or articles typically worn by other faiths. If students wish to have their ears pierced they must do so at the beginning of the long vacation period to obviate the need of wearing studs or sleepers on return to school. Permission to wear earrings for any reason will be denied. The School has a policy of confiscating jewellery and keeping it in the School safe until the end of term.

Hats

All students in Years T-6 must wear an approved school sun hat or sports hats when involved in PE, sport, recess or lunch play. Sunblock is advised on hot days.

Overcoats, Scarves and Gloves

While not a compulsory part of the uniform, students may wear a black overcoat on cold days. The overcoat can be worn over a school blazer, but not instead of one, in very cold weather. Only black scarves and gloves can be worn with the uniform and these are available through the Uniform Shop. Beanies (of any colour) are not acceptable items of uniform.

Boys Years 3-4

Boys Years 5-12

School white sport shirt and black shorts, white socks with school stripe, school tracksuit. School football socks to be worn only when participating in touch football, soccer, softball or hockey games. A House hat is compulsory during Spring and Summer Terms and is recommended for Autumn and Winter Terms but should not be worn to and from school.

Girls Years K-2

White sport shirt with school motif, bottle green skorts, white socks with school stripie, bottle green school fleecy tracksuit and bottle green dome-shaped hat. Black boy-leg briefs to be work under skort.

Girls Years 3-4

White sport shirt with school motif, black shorts, white socks with school stripe, microfibre tracksuit and bottle green dome-shaped hat.

Girls Years 5-12

White sport shirt with green skirt or black shorts, white socks with school stripe. Green or black sports briefs should be worn under skirts (short legged green or black bike pants are permitted), school tracksuit.

School football socks to be worn only when participating in touch football, soccer, softball or hockey games. A House hat is compulsory during Spring and Summer Terms and is recommended for Autumn and Winter Terms but should not be worn to and from school.

Shoes

Sports shoes may now be any colour. However, they must:

  • be low cut sports shoes (not boot style)
  • be lace-up shoes
  • be suitable for the sport(s) on offer at the school
  • provide athletic support to the foot.


They must not be:

  • slip-on, open or loose-fitting shoes
  • casual fashion sneakers (such as Vans or Converse sneakers)
  • not be extreme in drawing attention by way of motif, style, social or fashion statement.

In some circumstances it may be that a student requires a specific shoe for sports in addition to their general sport shoe that is worn to school and PDHPE classes (eg Soccer boots or Basketball boots). These additional shoes should only be worn on the sporting field NOT to and from school.

Note: While it is not compulsory, the school sport uniform may be worn to and from school on Sport Days only. Students may wear either their sport uniform or their House shirt to and from school on Carnival days. Students must change into their PE uniform at school and will be given time to change into full school uniform prior to the PE lesson finishing.
